Kathryn Abeysekera
Delta Gamma

New Member Class: 09
Major: Anthropology
My favourite professor: Bruce Miller -- Anthropology of Law 417
Interests/Activities: Dancing, eating, field hockey, attending DG events, shopping, watching the Canucks.
Best moment in DG: The last day of recruitment, when all the Active Members first saw who was a DG and came running into the street to hug us, causing a ridiculous traffic jam!
Why I chose Delta Gamma: I chose DG because every single girl tried to get to know us in the crazy process that is Recruitment.  The effort was there and the love was there and I wanted to get to know them even more.  I also love pink!
Other Philanthropic work: Service trips are the usual occurrence, including work at orphanages in Tijuana, Guatemala and Tanzania.
Three Interesting Things About Me:
1) I am part Scottish and part Sri Lankan. No one ever guesses that.
     2) Traveling is one of my major passions and I have two more continents to hit before I am thirty, this is my goal. South America     and unrealistically, Antarctica!
     3) I danced in the 2010 Closing Ceremonies in the Vancouver Olympics.
